CALEDON HOSPITAL

A community hospital with about 75 beds, facilities for minor surgery, a casualty department and an occupational therapist. There are two full-time medical practitioners with after-hours assistance from the 4 local private practitioners.

We are happy to accommodate senior medical students for their electives within this system.

We are committed to the University of Stellenbosch, Department of Family Medicine for their rural rotation program, which keeps us busy for most of the year. Within these constraints, we will be happy to entertain applications from students in medical schools outside the Western Cape for their elective periods.
