Introduction:
We run a Hospital Complex comprising 200 active beds at Thusong and 41 at Lichtenburg town. Clinical staff render level I health services at both centres, which are 23 km apart on the main road to Mafikeng. Thusong is mainly surrounded by farms and is safe.

Type of Students Required:
4th year medical students and final year students in medicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, speech therapy, psychology, dietetics, social work and radiography. Numbers may be limited.

Planned Activities:
Grand ward rounds, clinical meetings, assisting in operative procedures (for medical students) and being part of a multidisciplinary team in care of inpatients and clinic visits. We have various clinical competencies in all disciplines.

Recreation: Swimming pool and clubhouse for indoor games.

Accommodation:
May be available in nurses' hostel or within houses in the two hospitals. Plenty of private B & Bs facilities in town too.

Hospital Transport:
This is limited but trips are pooled whenever possible.
