GENERAL INFORMATION

You will have an opportunity to participate in discussions around issues in rural health e.g. the team in primary care, constructive approaches to poverty, community paediatrics, midlevel medical worker, telemedicine, surgical skills, management of HIV/AIDS, management of common chronic conditions and diseases, common emergencies, common ethical issues (confidentiality, consents, etc), and many others.

65 km from Makhado (Louis Trichardt) on the Punda Maria Road: R524
Nearest airport: Polokwane: 100km south of Makhado on N1
The nursing campus is 5km before Thohoyandou next to Tshilidzini Hospital

Who can attend?
All rural health workers are welcome. A special invitation is extended to rural physiotherapists, occupational therapists and dieticians and primary care nursing personnel.

CPD points
Will be provided for medical practitioners and physio and occupational therapists
