Rural Doctors’ Association of South Africa Conference –
Participant Bursaries
Download the Application form
African Health Placements, in an effort to support rural doctors in the critical and valued work that
they are performing in serving the rural communities in South Africa, is offering 30 bursaries to the
value of R2 500 each to any rural doctor wanting to attend the upcoming RuDASA Conference. Both
South African and foreign‐qualified doctors working in rural SA are encouraged to apply.
The RuDASA Conference is to be held from 18 – 20 September in Beaufort West in the Western
Cape. This annual event is an excellent opportunity for professional development, as well as to
network and share problems and solutions with doctors from around the country.
The Bursary on offer should be sufficient to cover costs related to registration, accommodation, and
transport. RuDASA will make all registration and accommodation arrangements. You will need to
make your own travel arrangements and submit bills for reimbursement.
All applications must be submitted by 11 August 2008 to Louis Jenkins (LJenkins@pgwc.gov.za) of
RuDASA. Bursaries will be awarded within the week following this date. Please complete the
application form in order to be eligible for this.
